From Main Page

As is the case with general etiquette, Work Place and Business Etiquette is the set of written and unwritten rules of conduct that make social interactions run smoothly.

  • Work place etiquette usually applies to interacting with coworkers.
  • Business etiquette is for interacting with external contacts such as customers and suppliers.

Professional Dress

  1. Business casual means a suit and shirt (no tie), not a t-shirt. Minimum specifications would be dark dress pants and a long-sleeved shirt with a collar.
  2. Khakis and a white oxford-cloth shirt should be in everyone's clothing inventory. Jazz it up with a blazer.
  3. Jeans are acceptable on casual Fridays, but opt for darker colors. Wear a colorful striped shirt for a set bonus.
