Powerful Presentations
From TCPwiki
Some issues to consider when creating a presentation:
- Use very large font sizes
- Lots of color contrast ... generally, a dark background with light text
- Graphic images are big and simple ... generally, just one per slide
- Tell a story
- Images help tell the story ... often critical to understanding the text
- Text is not in the same place on every slide
- Text is minimal ... often, just a few words per slide
- Down style or regular sentences more common than headlines
- Text and images are static, do not move around the page
- Slides do not need audio to be understood (people need a reason to listen to you, the speaker)
